Veterinarian’s Oath

 

Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, and the conversation of livestock resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge.  I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics.

 

I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.

Dr. Adrianna Arcuri MS, VMD received her Master’s degree in psychology from Hahnemann University prior to achieving her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Arcuri handles all aspects of surgery and is in charge of all our behavior cases.  She is adept at understanding the complicated world of feline behavior and a great deal of her work focuses on common problems such as litter box avoidance and aggression.  Dr. Arcuri values the interaction she has with her patients’ families because she understand how important it is to get the full spectrum of a problem in order to design a treatment that will address with issue while being manageable for the family.

Alicia-Lynn Boulay              Head Technician

 

Alicia “Lee” joined us back in 2006 and is the central part of our nursing team.  Her skills at phlebotomy and managing our patients in surgery and the hospital are an integral part of running our practice efficiently.  She is also currently working towards a degree in the medical field.  Alicia lives with her husband, her son Benjamin, and 2 dogs—Rio and Prince.

Danielle Cioffi         Client Care Coordinator

 

Danielle received her Bachelor’s degree in English having graduated Albertus Magnus College in 2005.  She handles all client/patient correspondence and the majority of her day is spent communicating information from the doctors to our clients.  Danielle’s patience and ability to help our clients understand things has made her an asset to our practice for the past seven years.  She lives with her 4 Siamese cats—Potter, Weasley, Tonks, and Luna!

Dr. John G. Richter Jr., RPh, VMD is a registered pharmacist having attended the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science before receiving his degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Richter handles the majority of our internal medicine cases and is also our anesthesiologist.  His work focuses on a vast range of feline diseases such as diabetes, pancreatitis, and renal disease.  Dr. Richter takes a new approach to treating various disease by looking at his patient as an individual and tailoring the treatment accordingly.  He also spends a great deal of time educating his patients’ families on the processes of an illness so they understand what is wrong and how the treatment will work.
